Acceptable Use Policy

This policy says what ScrapeOra may and may not be used for. It forms part of our Terms of Service (section 4) and applies to every account on every plan, including the Free plan.

ScrapeOra is operated by MD TOUFIQUZZAMAN, a sole trader registered in Bangladesh, trading as ScrapeOra.

1. What ScrapeOra is for

ScrapeOra is a product-sourcing tool for people who run online stores. You give it the address of a product page or a product listing on a supplier's website; it reads the product information that page shows to any visitor — title, description, price, images, variants, stock — and turns it into a product in your own store, or into a file you can download.

It does what you could do by hand with a browser and a spreadsheet, faster and on a schedule. It does not give you any right you did not already have, and it does not reach anything that is not already visible to an ordinary visitor of the page you point it at.

2. What you agree to

For every website you point ScrapeOra at, you agree that you will:

- Collect only publicly visible product data — pages any visitor can open without signing in, paying, or passing a technical access control. - Respect the site's terms and its `robots.txt`. If a site's terms forbid automated access to the pages you want, do not target it. - Comply with the law that applies to you — including copyright, database rights, computer-misuse and data-protection legislation — in your own country and in the country the site operates from. - Hold the rights you need to use, republish or resell what you collect. Product images and descriptions often belong to the brand or the supplier, not to the retailer whose page you are reading, and not to us. - Keep volumes reasonable. Plan limits exist partly so that no account can place a burden on a target site. Do not try to work around them.

3. What you must not do

You must not use ScrapeOra to:

- collect personal data — names, email addresses, phone numbers, postal addresses, account handles, reviews attributed to identifiable people, or any other information about an individual. ScrapeOra is a product-data tool; it is not designed, offered or permitted for collecting information about people; - get past a login, a paywall, a CAPTCHA or any other technical access control you are not authorised to pass, or supply someone else's credentials to reach a page; - access data that belongs to another party without authorisation — private catalogues, wholesale portals, dashboards, APIs or feeds that are not offered to the public; - degrade, disrupt or deny service to any site, whether by volume, by rate or by the way requests are made; - republish copyrighted images or text in a way the rights-holder has not permitted, or misrepresent the source, brand or origin of goods you list for sale; - collect or resell data for spam, fraud, harassment, price-fixing or any other unlawful purpose; - resell, share or sublicense access to ScrapeOra, or run several separate businesses through one account to avoid plan limits.

4. Our infrastructure is not a product

To read a supplier page reliably, ScrapeOra's own servers make the request on your behalf, sometimes through network infrastructure we rent for that purpose. That infrastructure exists only to deliver the product described in section 1. It cannot be pointed at arbitrary targets, it is not sold or exposed to you as a network service, and it may not be resold or used for anything other than the product imports you run inside ScrapeOra.

5. Store platforms and AI

What you publish to Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce or any other platform is governed by that platform's own terms. If you use the optional AI feature to rewrite a product description, the result is your content once published, and you are responsible for any claim it makes about a product.

6. How we enforce this

We do not monitor what you collect, and we make no assessment of whether a particular use is lawful — that responsibility is yours. But if we receive a credible complaint, a legal notice or evidence of a breach of this policy, we may:

- disable a target, a scraper or a schedule; - suspend or terminate the account, with or without notice depending on the severity; and - where the law requires it, cooperate with the site owner or the authorities.

Where the situation permits it, we will tell you what the problem is and give you a chance to fix it first.

7. Reporting misuse

If you operate a website and believe a ScrapeOra user is collecting data from it in breach of this policy, or you want your site excluded, email contact@scrapeora.com. We reply within two business days and, where the complaint is credible, act on it.

8. Changes

We may update this policy. It is a disclosure rather than a clicked-through term, so a change to it does not trigger a re-acceptance prompt; the version and date at the top identify the current text, and material changes are announced by email.
