Acceptable Use Policy

This policy says what ScrapeOra may and may not be used for. It forms part of our Terms of Service (section 4) and applies to every account on every plan, including the Free plan.

ScrapeOra is operated by MD TOUFIQUZZAMAN, a sole trader registered in Bangladesh, trading as ScrapeOra.

1. What ScrapeOra is for

ScrapeOra is product data import and inventory sync software for people who run online stores. You give it the address of a product page or a product listing in a supplier catalog you are authorized to use; it reads the publicly visible product data that page shows to every visitor — title, price, SKU, variants, stock, product URL — has AI write an original listing for you from that data, and turns it into a product in your own store, or into a file you can download.

ScrapeOra never publishes, exports, or keeps for reuse a supplier's photographs or descriptive text. It reads only factual product data — title, price, SKU, variants, stock — and AI writes an original listing from those facts. You supply your own images. Section 5 says more. ScrapeOra is software only: we do not sell, ship, or fulfil any physical products.

It does what you could do by hand with a browser and a spreadsheet, faster and on a schedule. It does not give you any right you did not already have, and it does not reach anything that is not already visible to an ordinary visitor of the page you point it at.

2. What you agree to

For every website you point ScrapeOra at, you agree that you will:

- Collect only publicly visible product data — pages every visitor can open without signing in, paying, or passing a technical access control. - Respect the site's terms and its `robots.txt`. If a site's terms forbid automated access to the pages you want, do not use ScrapeOra on it. - Comply with the law that applies to you — including copyright, database rights, computer-misuse and data-protection legislation — in your own country and in the country the site operates from. - Hold the rights you need to use what you collect. Product images and descriptions often belong to the brand or the supplier, not to the retailer whose page you are reading, and not to us. - Keep volumes reasonable. Plan limits exist partly so that no account can place a burden on a supplier's site. Do not try to work around them.

3. What you must not do

You must not use ScrapeOra to:

- collect personal data — names, email addresses, phone numbers, postal addresses, account handles, reviews attributed to identifiable people, or any other information about an individual. ScrapeOra is a product-data tool; it is not designed, offered or permitted for collecting information about people; - get past a login, a paywall, a CAPTCHA or any other technical access control, or supply someone else's credentials to reach a page; - access data that belongs to another party without authorisation — private catalogues, wholesale portals, dashboards, APIs or feeds that are not offered to the public; - degrade, disrupt or deny service to a site, whether by volume, by rate or by the way requests are made; - publish images or text that belong to someone else without their permission, or misrepresent the source, brand or origin of goods you list for sale; - collect or resell data for spam, fraud, harassment, price-fixing or any other unlawful purpose; - share or sublicense access to ScrapeOra, or run several separate businesses through one account to avoid plan limits.

4. Our servers do the reading — they are not a product

ScrapeOra's own servers request the supplier page on your behalf. That capacity exists only to deliver the product described in section 1: it is not offered to you as a service of its own, it reaches only the supplier catalogs you run imports from inside ScrapeOra, and it may not be resold or used for anything other than those imports.

5. Photos, descriptions, store platforms and AI

A supplier's product photographs and description text belong to the supplier or the brand. ScrapeOra never publishes, exports, or keeps for reuse a supplier's photographs or descriptive text. It reads only factual product data — title, price, SKU, variants, stock — and AI writes an original listing from those facts. You supply your own images. For every supplier, a push or an export carries the product data and, where you have run it, your AI-written description; the supplier's text and images are withheld. Inside the app they are shown to you only the way a browser would show them. You provide your own photographs in your store, and you are responsible for holding the rights to anything you upload there yourself.

What you publish to Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce or any other platform is governed by that platform's own terms. If you use the optional AI feature to write a product description, the model writes from the collected facts and is instructed not to reproduce the supplier's wording; the result is your content once published, and you are responsible for any claim it makes about a product.

6. How we enforce this

We do not read the product data our customers collect, so the responsibility for a lawful use — and for respecting each site's terms — is yours. But if we receive a credible complaint, a legal notice or evidence of a breach of this policy, we may:

- disable a source, a connector or a schedule; - suspend or terminate the account, with or without notice depending on the severity; and - where the law requires it, cooperate with the site owner or the authorities.

Where the situation permits it, we will tell you what the problem is and give you a chance to fix it first.

7. Reporting misuse

If you operate a website and believe a ScrapeOra user is collecting data from it in breach of this policy, or you want your site excluded, email contact@scrapeora.com. We reply within two business days and, where the complaint is credible, act on it.

8. Changes

We may update this policy. It is a disclosure rather than a clicked-through term, so a change to it does not trigger a re-acceptance prompt; the version and date at the top identify the current text, and material changes are announced by email.
