Refund & Cancellation Policy

Version: 1 Last updated: 2026-08-17

This policy explains how subscriptions to ScrapeOra are cancelled and when money is refunded. It forms part of our Terms of Service.

1. Who takes your payment

ScrapeOra is operated by MD TOUFIQUZZAMAN, a sole trader registered in Bangladesh, trading as ScrapeOra.

Payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd., which acts as the Merchant of Record for every sale. This means Paddle — not ScrapeOra — is the seller of record on your transaction. Paddle takes the payment, calculates and remits any sales tax or VAT due in your country, and issues your invoice. ScrapeOra never receives, sees, or stores your card details.

Refunds are therefore issued by Paddle, to the original payment method. We authorise them; Paddle executes them.

2. The free plan is the trial

We do not run time-limited free trials, and we do not ask for a card before you have used the product.

Instead, the Free plan is permanent and includes the complete import-to-publish workflow — the same features, at a lower volume. You can connect a real store, import real supplier products and publish them before paying anything. We would rather you found out the product does not suit you while it costs you nothing.

Because of this, we expect most customers to know whether ScrapeOra works for them before they subscribe.

3. Cancelling

You can cancel at any time from Settings → Subscription inside the app. No email, no phone call, no retention interview.

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period you have already paid for. You keep full access to your plan until that date. We do not pro-rate a cancellation into a partial refund, because you retain the service for the whole period you paid for.

Nothing is deleted when a subscription ends. Your scrapers, runs, saved products, exports and store connections all remain in your account. What happens is:

- Scheduled runs above the Free plan's limit are paused, not removed. - Store connections above the Free plan's limit are disabled, not deleted — their credentials are kept, so resubscribing re-enables them without you reconnecting anything.

If you subscribe again, your setup is exactly where you left it.

4. Refunds

4.1 Within 14 days of your first payment

If you are dissatisfied for any reason, contact us within 14 days of your first payment and we will refund it in full. You do not need to justify the request.

This applies to your first payment on an account. It is not a recurring 14-day window on every renewal.

4.2 Renewals

Renewal charges are not automatically refundable, because you are notified before each renewal and can cancel at any point beforehand.

We will, however, refund a renewal in full if:

- you were charged after cancelling, or - the renewal occurred within 72 hours of you contacting us to cancel, or - you did not use the service at all during the renewed period. "Did not use" means no runs, no imports and no publishes — something we can check from your account rather than take on trust in either direction.

4.3 When the service is at fault

If ScrapeOra is unavailable or materially broken for a sustained period and we cannot fix it, we will refund the affected period, whether or not you ask.

We do not treat the following as our fault, and they are not grounds for a refund:

- A supplier website changing its layout, blocking automated access, or going offline. We publish which suppliers are supported and we repair scrapers when they break, but we do not control those sites. - Data you collected being unsuitable, incomplete, or unusable for your purposes. - Your store platform (Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce) rejecting a product. - Exceeding your plan's limits. Limits are published on the pricing page and shown inside the app before you are stopped by one.

4.4 Multi-month plans

Three-, six- and twelve-month plans are prepaid at a discount against the monthly price. That discount is the consideration for committing to the term.

If you cancel part-way through a prepaid term, you keep access until the term ends and we do not refund the unused months, except under sections 4.1, 4.2 or 4.3 above.

5. Chargebacks

If you believe you have been charged in error, please contact us first. We will almost always resolve it faster than your bank can, and a refund reaches you sooner than a chargeback does.

A chargeback raised without contacting us may result in the account being suspended while the dispute is resolved, because Paddle requires us to respond to it and we cannot do that and continue billing at the same time. Your data is not deleted during a dispute.

6. How to request a refund

Email contact@scrapeora.com from the address on the account, or use the contact form at scrapeora.com/contact, and include:

  • the email address on your ScrapeOra account, and
  • the invoice number or the approximate date of the charge.

We reply to refund requests within two business days. Once approved, Paddle returns the money to your original payment method; how long it then takes to appear depends on your bank, and is typically 3–10 business days.

7. Statutory rights

Nothing in this policy limits any right you have under the consumer-protection law of your own country. Where that law gives you a stronger right than this policy does, that law applies.
