What exactly is ScrapeOra?

Which sites can I import from?
17+ suppliers are auto-detected, including Amazon, AliExpress, Shopify and WooCommerce stores, eBay, Etsy, Walmart, Daraz, Temu, Banggood, DHgate, Alibaba, Wish, LightInTheBox, Target, Best Buy, and Newegg. On top of that, a universal fallback reads standard product data (schema.org / OpenGraph) from most stores — so plenty of sites beyond the named list work too. You don't pick a template: paste the link and ScrapeOra detects the marketplace and the page type for you.
Can I import a whole listing, or just one product at a time?
Both. Paste a single product URL to import one item, or paste a category, search, collection, or listing page to bulk-import everything on it. The page type is detected automatically — there's nothing to toggle. Items stream in live as they're found, so you can watch the import work in real time.
Do I need an AI key? What does the AI actually do?
No — AI is entirely optional. When you do turn it on, you bring your own key (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, or DeepSeek) and write plain-language instructions like “rewrite in a premium voice,” “translate to English,” “add our returns policy,” or “apply a 1.4x margin.” It's applied to every product. The hard rule: AI only rewrites real, scraped data — it never invents specs or claims, and price, SKU, and images stay authoritative. You preview a sample before committing, and previewed items aren't re-charged.
If I re-import a product, will it create duplicates?
No. Every product is matched to a stable source key, so re-importing the same item updates the existing listing instead of creating a new one (an idempotent upsert, technically). That's what makes hands-free syncing safe: prices and stock refresh in place, never duplicate.
How does scheduled auto-sync work?
Set it up once and it runs forever. You define a timezone-aware schedule, and on every run ScrapeOra re-scrapes the source, re-applies your AI instructions, and auto-pushes to your store — but only on a successful run, with automatic backoff if a run fails. The result: prices and inventory stay fresh without you touching anything.
Is my data — and are my keys — safe?
Yes. Your AI keys and store credentials are encrypted with three separate, independently rotated keys, and encrypted values are never returned by the API (LLM keys are shown masked). Optional MFA (TOTP) protects your account, and teams get a shared workspace with seats, invites, and role-based access. Your keys, your data.
What if my store or supplier isn't supported?
First, try it anyway — the universal fallback reads standard product data from most stores, so a site that isn't on the named list often still works. If a supplier you need genuinely isn't covered, you can request a new importer from inside the app, and the team builds support for it.
