How to connect CJdropshipping to Shopify

6 min readBy the ScrapeOra teamUpdated 28 October 2026

To connect CJdropshipping to Shopify, save your CJdropshipping API key in ScrapeOra, connect your Shopify store, import the products you want, and publish them with your pricing applied. From then on ScrapeOra keeps prices and stock in sync and can place and track your CJ orders.

This guide covers the whole setup from start to finish. It takes about fifteen minutes and needs no code.

What you need

  • A ScrapeOra account. The free plan is enough to set this up.
  • A CJdropshipping account with API access, so you can get your API key.
  • A Shopify store where you can create a custom app, or an existing app's access token.

1. Create your ScrapeOra account

Sign up for a free account. You can set up the full CJdropshipping to Shopify connection on the free plan and upgrade later if you need more products per day.

The flow: bring products in from CJdropshipping, then publish them to Shopify.

2. Save your CJdropshipping API key

In CJdropshipping, open your account settings and find the API or Authorization section, then get your API key. In ScrapeOra, open your saved keys and paste it in. ScrapeOra encrypts the key on arrival and never shows it again.

Save your CJdropshipping API key once; every CJ import reuses it.

3. Connect your Shopify store

Open Add store and choose Shopify. Since January 2026 Shopify creates new apps in its Dev Dashboard, so paste the app's Client ID and secret. If your app was made in the Shopify admin before 2026, paste its Admin API access token instead. Either way, the app must be installed on the store you are connecting.

Connect your store from the Stores page in ScrapeOra.

Your shop domain is the permanent address ending in .myshopify.com, shown in Shopify under Settings and Domains.

4. Import products from CJdropshipping

Paste a CJdropshipping product link to import one item, or a category link to import many. The full listing comes in with its title, description, photos, variants, SKUs, price and stock. Re-importing the same product updates what you already have, so you never get duplicates.

5. Set your pricing and publish

Apply your pricing rule: a markup by percent, multiplier or fixed amount, with options like a minimum price, a price ending such as .99 and a compare-at price. If you like, rewrite the title and description in your brand voice. Then publish to Shopify.

Your rule turns each supplier cost into your selling price on every import.

6. Keep it in sync and fulfil orders

Put the import on a schedule so prices and stock stay current in Shopify without you touching them. Turn on automatic ordering for CJdropshipping if you want ScrapeOra to place each order you have been paid for, and tracking numbers are written back to Shopify as parcels ship.

Common problems and fixes

Shopify rejects the credentials
Check the app is installed on this exact store, and that you pasted the Client ID and secret from the Dev Dashboard, or an access token that starts with shpat_ from an older custom app.
CJdropshipping does not accept the API key
Regenerate the key in your CJdropshipping Authorization settings and confirm API access is enabled on your account, then paste the new key into your saved keys.
A product imported with no price or variants
You most likely pasted a category or search link rather than the product page. Open the product itself and import from its link.

Frequently asked questions

Is connecting CJdropshipping free?
Connecting is included on every ScrapeOra plan, including the free one. CJdropshipping still charges for the products and shipping as usual.
Can ScrapeOra place CJdropshipping orders automatically?
Yes. Automatic ordering is live for CJdropshipping. It is opt-in per store and only ever sends an order you have already been paid for, and tracking numbers are written back to Shopify.
Will my Shopify prices change on their own?
Only by the rules you set. Scheduled syncs refresh cost and stock, your markup rule sets the selling price, and you can switch on a guard that only ever raises prices.
How often does stock sync?
As often as your schedule runs, from every few hours to once a week. You can see exactly what changed after each run.
