How to connect Printify to Shopify
To connect Printify to Shopify, save your Printify API token in ScrapeOra, connect your Shopify store, import your print-on-demand products, and publish them with your pricing applied. Because Printify makes items on demand, you do not manage stock counts, and ScrapeOra can place and track your orders.
This guide takes about ten minutes and needs no code.
What you need
- A ScrapeOra account. The free plan is enough to set this up.
- A Printify account with your designs already set up as products.
- A Shopify store where you can create a custom app, or an existing app's access token.
1. Save your Printify API token
In Printify, open your account connections and generate a personal API token, then paste it into your saved keys in ScrapeOra. The token is encrypted on arrival and never shown again. Printify connects through its official API, so there are no browser steps.
2. Connect your Shopify store
Open Add store, choose Shopify, and paste your app's Client ID and secret from the Shopify Dev Dashboard. If your app predates 2026, paste its Admin API access token instead. The app must be installed on the store you are connecting.

3. Import your Printify products
Import your Printify catalog. Each product comes in with its mockups, its size and colour variants and their SKUs. Because Printify produces on demand, variants are kept available rather than tracked to a stock count.
4. Set your pricing and publish
Apply a pricing rule so your retail price is set from the Printify base cost automatically. A markup by percent or multiplier, a minimum price and a price ending are all available. Then publish to Shopify, with the title and description rewritten in your brand voice if you want.
5. Keep it in sync and fulfil orders
Put the import on a schedule so new designs and any base-cost changes flow through to Shopify. Turn on automatic ordering so each paid Shopify order is sent to Printify to produce and ship, and tracking is written back to Shopify for your customer.
Common problems and fixes
- Printify does not accept the token
- Generate a fresh personal API token in your Printify connections settings and paste the new one into your saved keys.
- A product published without the right variants
- Open the product in ScrapeOra and confirm the variants imported from Printify before publishing. Variants you add by hand are kept on re-import.
- Shopify rejects the credentials
- Confirm the app is installed on this store and that the Client ID and secret, or the shpat_ access token, belong to that same app.
Frequently asked questions
- Do I need to track stock for Printify products?
- No. Printify makes items on demand, so ScrapeOra keeps variants available rather than counting stock, and syncs base-cost and catalogue changes instead.
- Can ScrapeOra send orders to Printify for me?
- Yes. Automatic ordering is live for Printify. It is opt-in per store and only sends an order you have already been paid for, and tracking is written back to Shopify.
- Can I use this with Printful too?
- Yes. Printful connects the same way through its official API, so you can run Printful and Printify side by side.
