How to import products from a supplier to Shopify

5 min readBy the ScrapeOra teamUpdated 28 October 2026

To import products from a supplier to Shopify, connect the supplier (a saved API key for CJdropshipping, Printful or Printify, or a link from a supplier store), connect your Shopify store, import the full listing, and publish with your pricing applied. ScrapeOra then keeps prices and stock in sync.

This guide works for every supplier ScrapeOra supports.

What you need

  • A ScrapeOra account.
  • A supplier: an official-API supplier (CJdropshipping, Printful, Printify), AliExpress in Beta, or a supplier store you import by link.
  • A Shopify store with an app that has product access.

1. Connect your supplier

For CJdropshipping, Printful or Printify, save your API key in ScrapeOra. For a supplier that runs its own store, you will paste a product or catalog link instead. For AliExpress, paste a product link; import is in Beta.

2. Connect your Shopify store

Open Add store and choose Shopify. Paste your app's Client ID and secret from the Dev Dashboard, or an older app's access token. The app must be installed on the store you are connecting.

3. Import the full product

Import a single product or a whole catalog. The full listing comes in with its title, description, photos, variants, SKUs, price and stock, and re-importing updates what you already have.

4. Price, publish and keep in sync

Apply your pricing rule, publish to Shopify, and put the import on a schedule so prices and stock stay current. For official-API suppliers you can also turn on automatic ordering and tracking.

Common problems and fixes

Which supplier type do I pick?
Official-API suppliers use a saved key. A supplier that sells on Shopify or WooCommerce is imported by pasting a product or catalog link.
The import is empty
Use the product's own page rather than a search or category link, and check you pasted a full product URL.
Shopify rejects the credentials
The app must be installed on this store, and the Client ID and secret, or the shpat_ token, must belong to that app.

Frequently asked questions

Can I mix suppliers?
Yes. Save keys for several official-API suppliers and import from supplier stores by link, all into the same Shopify store.
Does re-importing duplicate products?
No. A stable source key means a re-import updates the same product.
Can orders be fulfilled automatically?
Yes, for CJdropshipping, Printful and Printify (AliExpress in Beta), with tracking written back to Shopify.
